Orvieto

Orvieto is a small village in Umbria perched on a tufa cliff. The “Duomo” (1290) with its mosaic façade houses a marble sculpture of the Pietà. The “Pozzo di San Patrizio” (XVI century) has a double spiral staircase. A network of underground caves testifies to the Etruscan roots of the town. Artifacts from that period, including ceramics and bronze objects, are on display at the “Museo Archeologico Nazionale”.

In Orvieto, a small town of Etruscan origin, you can admire the beautiful Cathedral of the fourteenth century, the triumph of Gothic-Romanesque architecture, the Duomo and the famous well of San Patrizio.
